SKO is committed to the professional development of all its lawyers and that commitment begins during the summer associate program. Over the course of the 12-13 week program, SKO summer associates work with attorneys from all areas of our diverse legal practice. Work assignments come directly from the attorneys and each assignment is evaluated. The program is intended to simulate life as an associate at SKO. Our summer associates work on real cases, for real clients and keep track of their time just like the attorneys.

In addition to improving research and writing skills, SKO strives to supplement the education of its summer associates by including them on client conferences, depositions, hearings, mediations and trials. SKO summer associates attend oral arguments at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, interact with judges, and participate in local bar activities.
