Members of this department provide a multitude of other services as diverse as the clientele they represent. For example, as counsel for financial institutions of varying size throughout Kentucky, the department's practice involves preparation of documents for loan transactions, compliance with state and federal banking regulations, dealing with federal regulatory agencies (such as the FDIC, the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, OTS and NASD), formation of bank holding companies, proceedings under the Change in Bank Control Act and debtor-creditor relations including bankruptcy. The firm also provides representation to financial institutions and other business clients in takeover and anti-takeover campaigns.

Attorneys in this department are engaged in securities law matters including representation of clients in Securities and Exchange Commission filings, preparation of prospectuses and offering circulars for public and private offerings and various other aspects of securities law compliance.
