Brett Carlile is of counsel for Stoll Keenon Ogden, joining the firm in 2023 and working out of the Evansville, Ind., office. Brett is highly skilled in trust and estate litigation, Medicaid planning, asset protection, and family business continuation planning.
Prior to joining Stoll Keenon Ogden, Brett worked for an Indianapolis, Ind., estate planning firm, where he gained extensive experience helping his clients avoid probate and death taxes while also working to advise them on wealth planning and investment strategies. Additionally, Brett worked in private practice for 20 years, using an intelligent, creative, and eloquent approach to achieve excellent results for his clients.
Brett attended the Indiana University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude. While in law school, Brett was managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and received several honors, including being named a Forest Jump Scholar for academic excellence. He received a Bachelor of Science in finance at Indiana University. Brett is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis, the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the U.S. Tax Court.
