C. Joseph Beavin

Of Counsel, Lexington

Joseph is Of Counsel in Stoll Keenon Ogden's Lexington office and has been with the firm since 1983. He is a member of the Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits practice. His practice focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation, as well as corporate law. Since the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law in March, 2010, Joe has worked with employers on the impact of the various components of the Act on their businesses and their employees.

Joseph is AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated™ by Martindale-Hubbell®, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and honored as a Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" in Lexington for Employee Benefits (ERISA) law. He was a member of the legal team that successfully represented the Kentucky Retirement System before the United State Supreme Court involving an asserted violation of the ADEA. He has also spoken at many local and regional seminars.

Joseph is a member of the Fayette County, Kentucky and American Bar associations. He is a member and past president of the Lexington Employee Benefits Council. To give back to the community, he has served on the board of trustees of Lexington Catholic High School, including serving on its executive committee for eight years. He is a member of the Rotary Club, and is a volunteer at God's Pantry and the Catholic Action Center. Married with two children, Joseph enjoys golf, tennis, music and UK sports during his free time.
