CJ joined Stoll Keenon Ogden in 2020 and is an Associate in the firm’s Lexington and Louisville offices. He contributes to several practice groups, focusing on Banks & Financial Services, Business Services, and Corporate Finance & Lending.
CJ has worked with multinational investment banks, private equity funds, and financial services companies on a range of complex issues, including credit facilities, asset acquisition, and debt financing. He is active in the local and national legal communities and frequently writes and speaks on legal developments and relevant social issues.
Before joining SKO, CJ was an associate at the Dallas office of an international corporate law firm. While there, he advised clients on credit transactions, financing acquisitions, business disputes, and government investigations.
After graduating from Centre College, CJ earned his J.D. at the Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as President of the Honor Council. During law school, CJ was an intern for Honorable Joseph M. Hood of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and for Vanderbilt University Athletics.
Fund Finance: CJ represents investment banks and financial services companies in connection with establishing and increasing credit facilities. These deals at times involve multiple lenders and investors domiciled in various jurisdictions.
Corporate Counseling: CJ advises corporate clients on contract construction and enforceability across several industries, including banking, hospitality, and venture capital.
Corporate Finance: CJ represents corporate clients in connection with loans, asset acquisition, and related issues. He brings to bear his creativity, diligence, and hands-on experience working with sophisticated clients on complex deals.
