Kaitlyn joined Stoll Keenon Ogden in 2017 and is a Member in the firm’s Corporate Finance & Lending, Business Services and Real Estate practice groups.
As a business and finance lawyer, Kaitlyn provides counsel to clients of all sizes and types, particularly those within the commercial real estate and financial services industries. She focuses on advising national, regional and community banks, as well as borrowers, on credit facility origination and in structuring and negotiating out-of-court workouts. She also advises both buyers and sellers on a broad spectrum of business transactions related to finance, real estate, corporate governance, stock and membership unit sales, leasing, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining SKO, Kaitlyn spent several years in private practice at one of Louisville’s largest law firms. During this time, she focused her practice serving as outside counsel for national banking clients in the origination and syndication of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loans on retail, hotel, multifamily, industrial and mixed-use properties, as well as other general corporate and real estate matters.
Corporate Finance & Lending: Kaitlyn works closely with local, regional and national lenders, and with borrowers from varying industries, in all aspects of commercial finance and secured transactions. She concentrates on structuring complex real estate projects and asset-based financing for development and construction loans, revolving credit lines and working capital needs, and also advises clients in connection with loan restructuring and workouts.
Business Services: Drawing on her knowledge of business organization and corporate governance, Kaitlyn helps corporate clients navigate and negotiate the intricacies of commercial contracts and financial transactions, including those within their ordinary course of business and outside of it.
Real Estate: Kaitlyn counsels corporate clients on an assortment real estate matters, such as commercial property leases, purchase agreements, title covenants and transfer agreements. Her expertise includes helping clients secure financing to acquire, develop and run businesses and commercial properties.
