Kelly Ball Broadbent

Associate, Lexington

Kelly is an Associate in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Lexington office. She has been with the firm since 2020 and contributes to several practice groups, focusing on corporate finance and lending, the equine industry, real estate, and business services.

Kelly earned her B.A. in Politics and International Affairs from Wake Forest University. During her collegiate years, Kelly served as a legislative intern for Senate Majority Mitch McConnell in Washington, D.C. Kelly returned to Lexington and attended the University of Kentucky Rosenberg School of Law, where she served as staff editor for the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Law.

During her time in law school, Kelly was a Summer Associate at Stoll Keenon Ogden. Her roots in Lexington give her a deep appreciation for Kentucky’s signature industries.

Business Services: Kelly and the other attorneys in the Business Services practice support companies of all sizes across a range of industries, always with the goal of helping them succeed in a complicated and turbulent marketplace.

Equine Transactional: Kelly and other SKO attorneys in the Equine Transactional practice work with owners, race tracks, and horsemen’s organizations across the globe to ensure that their legal, compliance, and transactional needs are met.

Corporate Finance & Lending: For financial institutions, commercial lenders and equity investors, Kelly offers services that include documenting and negotiating loan originations and restructurings.

Real Estate: Kelly provides legal assistance to clients on an array of real estate matters, from planning and zoning to contracts and leasing.
