Patrick T. Eavenson

Patrick is an Attorney in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Lexington office. He joined the firm in 2021 and contributes to the Appellate, Business Litigation, Torts, Trial & Insurance, and Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits practice groups.

After graduating from West Virginia University, where he played varsity soccer and was a member of the Big East All-Academic Team, Patrick earned his J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law. During law school, he served as Managing Articles Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal. Prior to joining SKO, Patrick served as an associate at a full-service U.S. law firm as well as a boutique, regional law firm.

Patrick represents clients in all aspects of litigation, from initial consultation to final resolution. His goal is to help entities and individuals achieve their desired outcome, whatever that may be, and he prides himself on his creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Appellate: Patrick regularly assists clients obtain a satisfactory resolution in both state and federal appellate courts.

Business Litigation: Patrick and his colleagues advise clients involved in all manner of civil litigation, including cases related to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and shareholder disputes. They work efficiently and effectively, recognizing that the courtroom is often a place of last resort.

Intellectual Property: Beyond his role as a litigator, Patrick counsels clients at every stage in the development, exploitation, safeguarding and enforcement of IP assets. He also regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates information technology agreements, including software licenses, maintenance agreements, consulting agreements and internet-related documents.
