Stephen joined SKO in 2017. He is a member of the Business Litigation, Business Owner Disputes, Construction Law and Tort, Trial and Insurance Services practices. During his undergraduate studies in International Affairs, Stephen learned that a problem cannot be solved without first understanding the needs and perspectives of all parties involved. He applies this holistic approach to legal problem solving, enabling a better understanding of his clients’ interests and objectives.
I mainly focus on trial and appellate work, including arbitration and mediation, representing clients in a wide variety of matters. I have handled construction disputes, shareholder disputes, a civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) case, insurance defense and general business disputes.
Lawsuits are filed every day. Many are frivolous or filed for improper means. Regardless, being suddenly hit with a lawsuit is a problematic situation. That’s why efficient, effective and experienced counsel is important to clients who are confronting legal problems. And as Alternative Dispute Resolution becomes a more common feature of the American judicial system, it is important to remember that while not all disputes must be settled in court it is always important to have an experienced advocate on your side.
