William W. Davis

Bill is Of Counsel in Stoll Keenon Ogden's Louisville office and has been with the firm since 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Bill was a partner at Harper, Ferguson & Davis until it merged with a predecessor of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC. Bill is a member of the Business Services and Public Finance practices. He is a nationally recognized bond counsel and concentrates his practice in municipal finance and tax-exempt securities.

Bill is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and Kentucky Super Lawyers for his legal accomplishments and has been named "Lawyer of the Year" for Public Finance in Louisville by Best Lawyers®. He has been a municipal finance attorney for over 40 years and has represented cities, counties and other governmental entities throughout Kentucky. He recently served as bond counsel on major financings for Baptist Healthcare System and the Louisville Arena Authority.

Bill is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky and American Bar associations, is a Charter Life Fellow of the Kentucky Bar Foundation and a Life Fellow of the Louisville Bar Foundation, is a Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel and a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Bill has served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Louisville and Jefferson County Riverport Authority, as a member of the boards of directors of the Cabbage Patch Settlement House and the Historic Homes Foundation, as a Trustee and President of the Episcopal Church Home of Kentucky, as Senior Warden of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church and as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Married with two children and five grandchildren, Bill enjoys golf, reading and travel in his spare time.
