EVANSVILLE (April 29, 2022)— Stoll Keenon Ogden Board Member Joe Langerak has been elected president of the Evansville Bar Association (EBA). He previously served as president-elect of the EBA. Langerak leads the EBA during a period of great change, as the legal profession comes out of the COVID-19 pandemic, and at the same time addresses the long-term impacts of it on law firms, courts, legal aid organizations, and individual lawyers.
Langerak is a member of the Firm’s Business Litigation group. He is also a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and chairs the Strategic Opportunities Committee responsible for the firm’s growth initiatives. As president of the EBA, Langerak will guide the organization and its members on how to return to the cohesiveness and camaraderie that defines the EBA, while recognizing the change in the legal profession and workplace.
“From remote hearings to fully remote workforces, the past two years have been transformational for the workplace and the legal profession as a whole,” said Langerak. “The EBA will work to address the changing needs of our members, with a particular focus on how changes to the profession stemming from the pandemic will impact our mission, but also look at how we heal as a profession and come back together for the greater good after being solitary for a long period.”
In addition to the EBA, Langerak currently serves on the board of the Arc of Evansville, Inc. and is its immediate past-president. He also serves on Indiana Governor Holcomb’s Task Force for Assessment of Services and Supports for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and as a Board Member for the Evansville Youth Soccer League, Inc.
