Ben is a Counsel to the Firm in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Lexington office. He has been with the firm since 2020 and contributes to the healthcare practice group.
A veteran healthcare attorney, Ben has significant experience in healthcare regulatory law. He has focused on representing healthcare providers before state and federal administrative agencies and trial and appellate courts and in compliance matters.
Before joining SKO, Ben was an attorney at a Lexington law firm. While there, he represented hospitals and other healthcare providers in state and federal regulatory and compliance matters, state and federal administrative proceedings, and medical malpractice actions and also assisted healthcare providers in negotiating and drafting contractual agreements, including asset purchase agreements, space and equipment leases, and employment agreements with a focus on compliance with state and federal law.
Ben has also served the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services as both counsel to the agency as well as an administrative law judge, experience that gives him a valuable perspective on the healthcare industry.
After graduating from Samford University, Ben earned his J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law. During law school, he served on the staff of the Kentucky Law Journal.
Healthcare: Ben represents healthcare providers of all sizes and types in a wide variety of matters and settings. These include litigation before state and federal courts and administrative bodies, advising clients on compliance with complex regulatory healthcare schemes, and representing clients in complex transactions.
