Dwight L. Miller

Counsel to the Firm, Indianapolis

Dwight is Counsel to the Firm at Stoll Keenon Ogden in the Business Services practice group. He joined the firm in 2022, when Stoll Keenon Ogden merged with Katz Korin Cunningham, where he had recently just started practicing.

An accomplished business attorney for more than 30 years, Dwight focuses on transactions, general corporate, commercial, lending, and real estate legal matters. He has practiced both with law firms and as an in-house attorney. Prior to joining Katz Korin Cunningham, he was in private practice with a Chicago boutique business law firm and, before that, with a small Indianapolis law firm.

Dwight began his practice with full-service law firms, working with companies in many industries, including manufacturing, health care, financial services, communications, and real estate. These businesses ranged in size from small, privately-held businesses to large public companies.

After more than 15 years of private practice, Dwight transitioned to a senior in-house position with a medical device manufacturer. Subsequently, he was General Counsel for a global manufacturing company, a diversified holding company, and a non-profit. As a senior in-house attorney with responsibility for all aspects of legal support, Dwight has developed valuable client-side insight as he worked with both outside counsel and internal decision-makers. This experience has helped him develop an ability to provide practical legal advice that helps clients to mitigate legal and related business risks.

Business Services: Dwight and his team work with executives, business unit leaders, in-house attorneys, and others to ensure clients meet their business goals and obligations. He is comfortable serving as “outside” general counsel for both small- and mid-sized companies that need legal counsel for a variety of day-to-day matters and who require an attorney to manage their other legal needs, such as litigation matters.
