Jarrod joined Stoll Keenon Ogden as a Member in 2022, as part of the firm’s merger with Katz Korin Cunningham, where he had been practicing for the past five years. He is a part of the firm’s Healthcare practice group as well as the Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits group.

Jarrod’s practice focuses on providing an aggressive and vigorous defense for those in the healthcare industry, including national and Indiana based healthcare providers and entities. Jarrod has extensive healthcare litigation experience representing clients in medical malpractice, licensing and peer review proceedings, disciplinary matters, business litigation, premises liability, compliance and regulatory, and employment related matters. Jarrod’s clients include hospitals, physicians and physician specialty groups, physician networks, corporations, nationwide insurers and third-party administrators, national staffing agencies, large multi-disciplinary physician and advanced practice providers, and dentists.  Additionally, he provides risk management advice to proactively avoid claims and acts as outside general counsel to health care entities.

Jarrod has successfully tried cases to verdicts involving immediate care physicians, complex surgical matters, ophthalmologic, internal medicine, plastic surgery, and premises liability matters. In addition to providing his litigation skills in health care litigation, he has defended many civil litigation defense matters involving wrongful death, catastrophic injuries and damages, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.

Additionally, he litigates employment-related matters in administrative proceedings, including EEOC charges, unemployment insurance appeals, and matters in federal and state courts alleging violation of FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and Title VII, as well as non-compete and breach of contract actions.

Healthcare: Jarrod has become a sought-after speaker providing insight from his vast experience as a front-line litigator and trial attorney. He frequently conducts seminars and speaks to physician groups, professional societies, hospital management, and those involved in hospital Grand Rounds.

Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits: Jarrod’s practice is focused on labor and employment law with an emphasis on employment issues facing healthcare clients. Jarrod counsels clients on a wide range of employment law issues including disciplinary actions, handbook and policy/review creation, and employment contract review and drafting.
