Jarrod A. Malone

Jarrod joined Stoll Keenon Ogden as a Member in 2022, as part of the firm’s merger with Katz Korin Cunningham, where he had been practicing for the past five years. He is a part of the firm’s Health Care practice group as well as the Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits group. 

Jarrod Malone’s practice focuses on providing an aggressive and vigorous defense for those in the health care industry, including national health care entities in business litigation, professional liability, as well as licensing investigations and disciplinary matters. In addition to extensive experience defending hospitals, large multi-disciplinary physician groups, multiple physician specialties, allied health professionals, psychiatric facilities, and surgical groups among others, Jarrod also provides risk management and general outside counsel health care advice to clients. Jarrod’s clients include hospitals, nationwide insurers and third-party administrators, large self-insured risk retention groups, and national medical staffing agencies. 

Jarrod has successfully tried cases to verdict involving immediate care physicians, complex surgical matters, opthamologic, internal medicine, plastic surgery, and premises liability matters. In addition to providing his litigation skills in health care litigation, he has defended many civil litigation defense matters involving general liability, catastrophic injuries, and damages.

Additionally, he litigates employment-related matters in administrative proceedings, including EEOC charges, unemployment insurance appeals, and matters in federal and state courts alleging violation of FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and Title VII, as well as non-compete and breach of contract actions.

Health Care: Jarrod has become a sought-after speaker providing insight from his vast experience as a front-line litigator and trial attorney. He frequently conducts seminars to and speaks to physician groups, professional societies, hospital management and those involved in hospital Grand Rounds.

Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits: Jarrod’s practice is focused on labor and employment law with an emphasis on employment issues facing health care clients. Jarrod counsel’s clients on a wide range of employment law issues including disciplinary actions, handbook and policy/review creation and employment contract review and drafting.
