Member, Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC

Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC is pleased to announce attorney Steven Loy has been recognized in the 2013 Lexology Client Choice Awards – USA & Canada. This international award honors law firms and lawyers for their exemplary service and is based on anonymous nominations from clients. The criteria for the awards focus on the ability to add real value to clients’ business. Loy is the chair of SKO’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice and has been with the firm since 1994. He also works in the Banking Litigation and Antitrust, Trade Regulation & Franchise practices. Research for award candidates begins with a readership survey of International Law Office (ILO) and in-house counsel subscribers of Lexology, a daily newsfeed of law firm client alerts, articles and blogs delivered to the desktops of senior business lawyers worldwide. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of knowledge and experience, and the use of technology. To ensure the results cannot be influenced, law firms are not informed when this initial round of research is conducted. The results of the survey are used to draw shortlists for each work area. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to submit up to five references. The research team conducts follow-up interviews and additional research where necessary to determine the award recipients. A complete list of winners is available in the Client Choice Guide – USA & Canada 2013 and fully searchable at www.ClientChoiceAwards.com.
