“No relationship has been more critical in sustaining our work and furthering our mission than our partnership with the private bar and those attorneys who commit to offering pro bono assistance to our clients in need,” said Jeff Been, executive director of the Legal Aid Society. “Pro bono services to our clients truly make the difference whether we have the capacity to help one or five or fifty people who call asking for help.  Doug Brent epitomizes the type of dedicated volunteer that our program and our clients need.  We are deeply grateful for his help and pleased to recognize his committed service.”

The Legal Aid Society works to pursue justice for people in poverty and provides free legal services to the most disadvantaged in the community. Last year, Legal Aid helped more than 4,500 people in the greater Louisville area.
