Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC has been recognized as the Second “Best Place to Work in Kentucky” in the large-sized employer category. Gov. Steve Beshear congratulated the winners during the 7th annual awards dinner at the Lexington Convention Center on Wednesday, April 20.
“SKO is honored to once again be ranked as one of the top places to work,” said David Smith, Managing Director. “As Kentucky employers set new standards for workplace excellence, SKO remains committed to upholding the values that come with this distinction. We plan to further enrich the experiences of our staff, and in turn, fulfill the firm’s mission of putting our clients’ success first.”
This is the 5th consecutive year SKO has been recognized in the Best Places to Work competition. In 2010, the firm was ranked the number one large-sized company to work in Kentucky. This year, in addition to being recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in Kentucky,” SKO was named one of nine “Best of Louisville™ Employers,” by Louisville Magazine. In 2009, the firm received the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Businesses Excellence and Workplace Flexibility.
The Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management State Council (KYSHRM) and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce host the Best Places initiative each year to encourage companies across the state to move their workplaces toward excellence. This awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Kentucky. The award is based on the results of an internal employee survey and the outside assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky 2011 list is made up of 65 companies.
