Kif is Counsel to the Firm in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Lexington office and rejoined SKO in 2016, following eight years as partner at another regional law firm. She is part of the Labor & Employment and Tort, Trial & Insurance Service practice groups.
Working on behalf of corporate and health care clients throughout Kentucky, Kif has litigated cases in administrative hearings and in federal and state courts. She has litigated matters ranging from medical negligence claims to class action employment disputes, and has thorough knowledge of privacy laws and regulations. Since organizations face intense scrutiny regarding their privacy policies and practices, particularly in the field of health care, Kif has honed her expertise in this area.
Active in the legal community, Kif is a past president of the Executive Board of the Fayette County Bar Association. She also assumes a leadership role at a nonprofit organization.
Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits: Concentrating mainly on litigation, Kif represents employers' cases involving all manner of disputes, including alleged discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims and contractual disputes.
Tort, Trial & Insurance Services: Kif litigates cases involving allegations of medical negligence, long-term care abuse and neglect and product liability. Kif handles all aspects of a case, including drafting pleadings, preparing and defending motions, working with experts to address complicated medical, scientific and economic issues, handling evidentiary proceedings and appellate briefing.
