Legal Practice

Automotive Dealer Services: I represent independent and franchised auto dealers in consumer defense, regulatory, advertising compliance and manufacturer issues. I emphasize preventive maintenance by implementing best practices and defensive measures like proper transaction forms. I also assist dealers with licensing issues in Indiana. My decades of legal experience in this industry gives me detailed familiarity with the many facets of regulation and trends in the business.

I also am a car guy, active in three car clubs and current custodian of a 1937 Cord Westchester, 1941 Cadillac 63 Touring Sedan and 1958 Buick Super, purchased new by my grandfather.

Environmental: My practice focuses on helping businesses deal with liability and regulatory issues arising from soil and groundwater impacts from chlorinated solvents, petroleum, PCBs and heavy metals. Since Underground Storage Tank regulation began in 1986, I have counseled businesses on USTcompliance and help businesses obtain insurance coverage for environmental liability.

I also assist businesses obtain coverage from Indiana’s UST Excess Liability Trust Fund and routinely deal with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management in administrative review cases and in defense of Notices of Violation.

Litigation: My extensive experience in class actions and appellate matters enables me to navigate the complex procedures associated with various courts and processes.
