Jason joined Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Indianapolis office in 2017 as a Member, following the firm’s merger with Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald & Hahn. Jason is part of the Business Litigation, Corporate Finance & Lending, Eminent Domain & Real Estate Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Real Estate practices. He handles transactions, negotiations and, when required, works to protect clients’ interests by advocating on their behalf in the courtroom.

Business Litigation: Jason advises corporate clients on business formation, sales of assets, handling of shareholder disputes and company dissolution. He also represents businesses and individuals in appeals of property tax assessments. He assists contractors and subcontractors in collecting payments owed by filing mechanic’s liens and personal liability notices, and he argues cases before courts.

Corporate Finance & Lending: Jason consults with banks, finance companies, businesses and individuals on documenting lending transactions and resolving issues associated with loan workouts. He also represents clients in the courtroom, moving forward with litigation when warranted.

Eminent Domain & Real Estate Litigation: When expansion and improvement projects are on the horizon, Jason helps utility companies acquire easements through negotiation and condemnation proceedings.

Mergers & Acquisitions: Jason assists with the purchase and sale of businesses, and provides services that range from negotiating agreements to providing counsel on regulatory matters. He has experience representing clients from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, retail and service sectors.

Real Estate: Jason handles every aspect of the purchase, sale, leasing and exchange of industrial, commercial and residential properties. He drafts and reviews title commitments, performs environmental due diligence and undertakes risk assessments. He advises clients on how to benefit from tax deferrals through 1031 exchange transactions. When needed, he prepares petitions and attends hearings for rezoning, variances, special exceptions and land use approvals.
