SKO Attorney Joins Ball Homes

Stoll Keenon Ogden attorney Rena Wiseman has been hired as Associate General Counsel/Development Manager for Ball Homes, one the law firm’s long-standing clients. In her new position, Wiseman will work with Ball Homes’ general counsel, Jonathan Norris.

“We are very excited about Rena joining Ball Homes in an expanded role of overseeing our entitlement and development interests,” Ray Ball, president of Ball Homes, said. “We consider Rena to be one of the preeminent legal resources in her field, and the addition of her talents will be a great asset to our company.”

Wiseman has been with SKO since 1987 and was a member of the Real Estate practice. She focused her work on zoning, land use and real estate development, representing numerous property owners and developers before planning commissions, boards of adjustment and legislative bodies throughout Kentucky.

“Rena is one of Kentucky’s premier real estate development attorneys. This position is a perfect fit for her,” Bill Lear, managing director of SKO, said. “We will miss having her in the firm but will look forward to working with her on behalf of our long-term client, Ball Homes.”

Prior to her time at SKO, Wiseman was an attorney for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government where she served as counsel to the planning Commission; the Board of Adjustment; the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Board of Architectural Review; and the Urban County Council.

Wiseman served as a Staff Attorney for the Kentucky Court of Appeals and as a law clerk for the Kentucky Supreme Court. She is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, is rated as a Best Lawyer and is recognized by Kentucky Super Lawyers as one of the Top 25 Women Lawyers in Kentucky.
