Richard Stoll graduates from Yale Law, joins the Kentucky Bar, and expands the firm’s relationship with First National Bank and Trust Company of Lexington.
Stoll Appointed to
UK Board of Trustees Reappointed by seven governors to serve for 50 years on the University of Kentucky Board.
1921
Richard Stoll is appointed
Fayette Circuit Court Judge
for the 22nd Judicial District.

Samuel R. Ogden graduates from Harvard Law School and begins practicing law in Lexington.
1928
Judge Richard Stoll
is elected president of the Circuit Judges of Kentucky.

Richard Stoll, Wallace Muir, William Townsend, & James Park establish the Lexington firm.
1931
Gayle Mohney Joins Early Stoll Team

Their representation of thoroughbred farm clients creates Keeneland Association and the “Keeneland tradition” respected and used globally as the model of a leading thoroughbred auction company.
1948
Firm merges with Keenon, Huguelet & Odear; adopts the name Stoll, Keenon & Park.

1982
Stoll, Kennon & Park acquires the firm
Johnson & Judy, based in FRANKFORT, KY
1985
William M. Lear Jr.
is appointed as the firm's first official Managing Partner.
1990
William L. Montague is elected Managing Partner, continuing firm leadership.
1992
Squire Ogden's Louisville firm is reorganized and renamed Ogden Newell & Welch.

1993
Stoll, Keenon & Park
opens office in LOUISVILLE,
KY
1995
Bill Lear is re-elected Managing Partner after serving four terms in the Kentucky General Assembly.

Stoll, Keenon & Park merges with Ogden Newell & Welch of Louisville, forming Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC.
2008
J. David Smith Jr. is elected to serve as the firm's Managing Director.
2013
The firm relocates Henderson office to EVANSVILLE, IN
2016
P. Douglas Barr is elevated as Managing Director.
2017
Merge with Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald & Hahn, expanding an office to INDIANAPOLIS, IN
2018
Douglas C. Ballantine is inducted as President of the Kentucky Bar Association.

Stoll Keenon Ogden is named "Kentucky Firm of the Year" by Benchmark Litigation.

2022
- McMasters Keith Butler Inc., an all-woman law firm, joins SKO.
- Gene Vance was nominated to serve as Chair of the ABA's
House of Delegates. - The firm merged with an Indianapolis-based, Katz Korin Cunningham.

2024
The firm acquires Applegate Fifer Pulliam, a boutique firm based in JEFFERSONVILLE, IN
