Mary Garris

Member, Louisville

Mary is a Member in Stoll Keenon Ogden's Louisville office and has been with the firm since 2009. She is a member of the Business Services practice with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance & Lending and Real Estate. Mary is also a member of the Business Litigation practice. She is honored as a Rising Star among Kentucky Super Lawyers for her Mergers & Acquisitions practice.

Mary works with new and existing businesses on all aspects of corporate organization and governance. Her familiarity with Kentucky’s Public Benefit Corporation statute as well as her work with Canopy (the Kentucky Public Benefit Corporation Association) helps businesses determine if a public benefit election and/or certification is beneficial for their organizations.

Mary is a graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review. She assisted in the drafting of the 2010 amendments to the various Kentucky business entity statutes and the Kentucky Business Entity Filing Act.

Actively involved within the community, Mary serves on the board of directors for Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Stage One.
